I'm so lucky at my new library system to have extremely talented co-workers. One of them is the inimitable Miss Elizabeth at our other branch in the city. Here's a song she paired with these truly awesome semi-cannibalistic fish puppets.
Filmore Fish & Friends
Poor ole me swimming in the sea
Not one friend to swim with me
BURP (burp up a fish) 'Scuze me!
Hi Buddy! Let's do a Loop-the-Loop!
Poor ole me swimming in the sea
Not one friend to swim with me
BURP (burp up a fish) 'Scuze me!
Hi Pal!.... Let's do a deep sea dive!
Poor ole me swimming in the sea
Not one friend to swim with me
BURP (burp up a fish) 'Scuze me!
Hi Tiny!... Let's do a flying fish!
WHEEEE!
I changed them a little to best suit my absolute failure of an ability to memorize:
Poor ole me swimming in the sea
Not one friend to swim with me
BURP (burp up a fish)
Hey, buddy! Wouldya swim with me?
I used my deepest voice with the first verse, normal voice with the second, and highest for the last. I really drew the burps out for maximum effect and because it was actually kind of hard to get just one fish out of there.

ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the fish??? I can't find them anywhere.
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry Unknown! We **THINK** they're from Mr. Anderson's Company, but I believe they have gone out of business, unfortunately. I would love to own this set myself.
ReplyDeleteSomething like this would work:

Thanks for the fish info, Anne. Mister Anderson's was about 30 miles from where I live!! I might order the Canadian set, but those fish are wonderful!!
