Happy Flannel Friday!
Thanks for joining us. I'm excited to bring you this week's posts.
It seemed like lots of us are thinking spring this week! Kathryn brings you some beautiful flowers based on Lois Ehlert's classic picture book Painting a Rainbow.
Speaking of flowers, Bonnie from Buckeye Librarian (hey neighbor!) shares her homemade flower puppets, complete with the cutest bee I've ever seen.
Nikki from Hey There, Library shares some super cute felt rabbits she found at her Target's dollar spot. She has a couple of great ideas for using them, so be sure to check it out.
In other animal news, Storytime Ukelele brings you the chords and some adorable felt pieces to accompany "Little Bird, Little Bird." I've long been a fan of Elizabeth Mitchell's lovely version of this classic song myself.
Flannel Board Fun has THREE posts for you to enjoy. An adorable set for the classic "Little Mouse" game, a mitten matching game, and a story song called "Oh I Wish I Were".
Calling all Jbrary fans! Lindsey's bringing you a flannel set of the pieces from their world-famous "Zoom Zoom Zoom" song. And I love the pirate version--had missed that one. It will be perfect for my city's tall ships festival this summer!
Jane shares my love for Peter Reynolds, with her felt version of The Dot. I'm adding this one to my to-make list for sure!
P.S.-- If you're looking for an idea for National Library Week, Jane suggests photobombing your patrons.
That's all, folks!
Next week's roundup will be hosted by Kim at Literary Commentary. Thanks for helping us out, Kim! Also mark your calendars for Friday, April 22nd because my good friend Lisa will be hosting a Summer Reading Club extravaganza, so if you have ideas for this year's theme (sports and playing are the themes I believe for iRead and CSLP), please do so! I might have to make something myself.
